Services

If you would like to email me pictures of your chairs, I can give you a quote and a timescale.
The 3 pictures that I need are:
One of the whole chair.
An 'aerial' view of the whole of the top of the panel that needs replacing.
The same for the underside or back of the panel.
If all chairs are the same design then I'd just like photos of the one in best condition please.

About - Arts

I have been an archaeologist, archaeological illustrator/ reconstruction artist, among other things, and my current obsession in my "hand-made" creative life, is the amazing art of Needle Felting.
Under the name "Through the Rainbow", I design kits for all to try and make engagingly lifelike 3D sculptures of birds, animals and mythical creatures.

My work is illustrative, colourful, and influenced by dreams and folktales, Nature, a word or a phrase, or trying to capture a stunning moment in time. Lovely people have responded to my work by saying I have helped them to recognise the Inner Spirit or Beauty of the Ordinary.
I hope my images do not take themselves too seriously: instead, some have a slightly surreal or humorous quality.

I also enjoy working with 'found' / recycled materials, especially driftwood, using the beauty of wear and decay, and forms suggested by these chance effects. I love the idea of bringing a new life to objects otherwise discarded as “use-less”. Inspiration comes from natural and ancient forms and patterns, even though I may sometimes be using modern materials.
